Artist's Statement
I hate artist's statements. I use a lot of negative space in the work, it's up to the viewer to decide what it all means, if any meaning exists at all.
About the Artist
Charlie Bidwell's iconic images of 1950's signs provide ironic commentary on the marriage of commerce and ideology found in the southwest. Bidwell was featured in the Summer 2002 exhibit, Inside/Out.
